Sara is passionate about American live music and dance traditions.
Originally from Ithaca NY, Sara has been dancing & teaching various partner dances for over 20 years. Her mother was a prominent disc jockey & music promoter and through her was given a love of local music & introduction to the dance scene in the 90's. Social dancing & teaching has included various forms of Country, Cajun, Zydeco, Swing, Blues, and Latin for 2+ decades. A love of genre hopping has given her unique understanding of movement & rhythm.
Based in Brooklyn since 2011, she’s been an integral part of the local music and dance scene. Sara’s passion and joy is infectious – from first time steppers to seasoned shakers it starts with a welcoming space. Classes build the fundamental language of social dance.
